The COVID-19 anti-vaccination campaign for the age group of 18 to 44 in Himachal Pradesh will start from May 17. Special Health Secretary Nipun Jindal said that the state has received 1,07,620 doses of the Covishield vaccine from the Serum Institute of India, Pune, for people in this age group. He said that people in the age group of 18 to 44 will be vaccinated only on Monday and Thursday and for this two days have to be registered on the CoWin portal. Jindal said that the state has ordered to get more vaccines for this age group. The health official said that the scheduled time will start appearing on the Cowin portal from May 15. He said that HRTC conductors and drivers for vaccination campaign, workers working on petrol pumps, teachers on COVID duty, bank and financial services workers, chemists, workers of Lok Mitra Kendra, child care institutes under WCD department The employees of K and the employees of the pharmaceutical industry have been declared in the priority group. Meanwhile, a total of 21,08,857 people have been vaccinated in the state till May 13. 16,89,496 people have taken the first dose of the vaccine, while 4,19,361 people have taken the second dose.
