Another weapon to fight Corona, DRDO’s anti-covid medicine to be given to patients from today
This medicine is about to be dissolved in water. It will be found in powder form in a sachet. It can be dissolved in water and given to patients. It is claimed that due to the consumption of this 2-DG drug based on glucose, corona patients will not have to depend more on oxygen. Also they will get well soon.

To combat the Corona epidemic, patients will start receiving DRDO’s anti-covid drug, 2DG tomorrow (May 17). Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan will launch the first batch of this anti-COVID drug at 10:30 am today. Around 10,000 doses will be available in various hospitals of Delhi by tomorrow. A lab by DRDO, the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), has developed the anti-covid drug ‘2-deoxy-D-glucose’ (2-DG) in association with Hyderabad-based Doctor Reddy Lab (Dr Reddy) . After the clinical trial, the Drugs Controller General of India recently gave it the green signal for emergency use.

The DRDO has claimed that the RT-PCR report of the Corona patients who were given these medicines during the clinical trial has come negative soon. It is being told that since last year (April 2020), work on this medicine was going on.
