Himachal Pradesh Heavy rain warning on 19 and 20 May
Deputy Commissioner Rigveda Thakur said that on May 19 and 20, 2021, the Meteorological Center, Shimla has issued warnings of heavy rains at many places in Mandi district. Keeping in mind the warning of heavy rains, he has urged all citizens to avoid going to the banks of the river drains and to avoid landslide prone areas and high altitude and low temperature areas.
He appealed to the people not to leave homes unnecessarily in bad weather, to stay in safe places and not to take any kind of risk.
He has also requested all panchayat heads, NGOs and citizens to convey this message to as many people as possible to avoid any untoward incident.
The Deputy Commissioner said that in case of any natural calamity / incident, immediately inform the District Disaster Management Operations Center on the telephone number 01905-226201, 202, 203, 204 or toll free 1077.
