(United Nations) UN calls for stopping Israel-Palestine conflict
The United Nations has called for an early halt to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. The call has been called by Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
During the UN Security Council meeting, Mr. Guterres said, the fight must end. This should be stopped immediately. Rockets and mortars on one side and aerial and artillery strikes on the other side must cease. I appeal to all sides to pay attention to this call.
He said that the organization is urgently negotiating with all sides for a ceasefire.
This conflict, he said, has the potential to exacerbate humanitarian crises and extremism. Humanitarian crises and extremism can escalate not only in Palestine and Israel, but across the region. This would have dangerously promoted instability.
