Black fungus epidemic declared in Bihar, corona patients coming down: Nitish

The Bihar government has declared black fungus to be an epidemic. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the new disease black fungus has been declared an epidemic by the state government. He said that black fungus medicines have been made available in many government and private hospitals along with Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) and AIIMS, Patna.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people through voice messages and said that like other decades, people of Bihar are also facing the Corona epidemic. The Chief Minister said that in view of the increasing infection, the lockdown has been extended till May 25 in Bihar.
He expressed satisfaction that people are getting support in the lockdown and guidelines are also being followed, as a result of which the number of patients is decreasing.
He said that in connection with the lockdown before May 25, we will again sit together and take the necessary decisions soon.
He said, the number of investigations is being increased. A RTPCR testing van has been dispatched in rural areas from today, which will further speed up the corona investigation. People living in isolation affected by corona infection are being tracked with software called Kovid. In this system, the oxygen level and body temperature of patients are being taken regularly from house to house by the health team.
He said, the new disease Black Fungus has been declared an epidemic by the state government. He said that black fungus medicines have been made available in many government and private hospitals along with Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) and AIIMS, Patna. He said that the corona infection rate is decreasing, but we all have to be vigilant and alert in view of the future prospects.
