School van operators reached the brink of starvation due to the lockdown and no one was willing to pay attention to it.

In Uttar Pradesh, almost all the schools in Uttar Pradesh are also closed from the first lockdown in the entire country on 22 March 2020. Just a few months before the lock down, commercial road tax, commercial insurance rule of the van was implemented by making yellow color and yellow stripe mandatory on all school vans to prevent illegal school vans. In the absence of which heavy fines were imposed. All school van operators bear commercial taxes, insurance and additional financial burden to avoid fines. Locked down in no time. Due to which everyone had to park their school vehicles at home and since today everyone’s school vans are standing standing in the houses, some owners have to sell their vehicles to avoid spending tax and insurance and to spend home If you are thinking of selling something, but at this time you are unable to find suitable customers. Due to which even reasonable prices are not available.

Last year, some tax relief was provided by the RTO. If the government does not pay attention to them in time, then there will be no option but to starve before them. The government should immediately waive tax and insurance for the entire lock down time. Also, due to no other work till the lock down, all the school van drivers should be provided with free ration every month and some cash amount which will also be justified.
