Awarded ‘PSU Award of the Year 2020’
Dalal Street Investment Journal (DSIJ) has conferred “PSU Award of the Year 2020” on Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN. He has been given this award by him in recognition of making SJVN the most efficient and profitable Mini Ratna Company of the year 2020.
Nand Lal Sharma is heading the Schedule-A, Mini Ratna PSU SJVN as CMD.
Under the effective leadership of Nand Lal Sharma, SJVN has emerged as a major player in the power sector in India and neighboring countries. Presently SJVN is constructing seven (7) power projects with a capacity of about 3300 MW in India, Nepal and Bhutan. Based on their tireless and unremitting efforts, SJVN has been awarded more than 10 power projects in the last 2 years in India and abroad. SJVN has set an ambitious target of becoming a company with a capacity of 5000 MW by 2023, 12000 MW by 2030 and 25000 MW by 2040.
SJVN is going to invest Rs.30,000 crores during the next five years and Rs.60,000 crores in the next ten years in various projects in India and abroad which will result in employment generation and infrastructural development and socio-economic upliftment.
SJVN’s current installed power capacity is 2016.51MW with a portfolio of around 9000MW and has a presence in various energy sectors including hydro, power, wind, solar and thermal. The company also has presence in the energy transmission sector.
