Slight decline in new cases of corona infection, 1.32 lakh cases registered in 0-24 hours, 2713 died
Corona cases continue to fluctuate after the peak of the second wave of corona infection is over. There is a slight decline in the daily cases of corona. In the last 24 hours, more than 1.32 lakh cases of corona virus were reported in the country. At the same time, 2713 have lost their lives.
According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, more than 1.32 lakh daily cases of corona virus were registered in the country. While 2713 patients died during this period. So far, a total of 2,85,74,350 infected cases of corona virus have been registered in the country. At the same time, the death toll has gone up to 3,40,702. The number of infected in the country had crossed 20 lakh on August 7 last year, 30 lakh on August 23 and 40 lakh on September 5. At the same time, the total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November. These cases crossed one crore on December 19 in the country and crossed two crore on May 4.
Recovery rate 93.08 percent
The Union Health Ministry said that the rate of recovery from corona in the country is increasing continuously. The Joint Secretary of the Ministry, Luv Agarwal said that at present the recovery rate in the country is 93.1 percent. He said that there is a steady decline in the number of such districts where on an average 100 new cases are being reported daily. At present, there are 257 districts of the country where more than 100 new cases of corona virus infection are being reported every day. The daily rate of infection was recorded at 6.38 percent. This rate has been recorded below 10 percent for 11 consecutive days. The weekly infection rate has come down to 7.27 percent. The number of patients treated in the country has increased to 16,35,993 which is 5.73 percent of the total infection while the national rate of recovery from COVID-19 is 93.08 percent.
Mortality rate below 2 percent
A total of 77,420 cases of COVID-19 have decreased in the last 24 hours. The number of people who recovered was more than those infected for the 22nd consecutive day. The total number of people who have recovered so far has increased to 2,65,97,655, while the death rate due to infection is 1.19 percent.
Active cases are decreasing rapidly
According to the ministry, after the death of 2713 patients in the last 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 3,40,702 while the number of people undergoing treatment was recorded below 20 lakh for the fourth consecutive day. The ministry said that a total of 20,75,428 tests were conducted on Thursday, taking the total number of tests done for COVID-19 in the country to 35,74,33,846.
Behind the US in giving the first dose
On the other hand, NITI Aayog Member (Health) Dr. VK Paul said that according to Our World in Data, there are 172 million people in India who have been given at least one dose of the vaccine. We have overtaken the US in terms of the number of people who received the first dose of vaccine in our country. Dr. VK Paul said that the vaccines of Covaxin and Zydus are already being tested on children. We will need about 25 crore vaccines. On the delay in the emergency use list for Covaxin, Dr. Paul said that we are working with Bharat Biotech and the World Health Organization (WHO).
