Xiaomi may unveil a flagship phone with an under-display camera

Smartphone brand Xiaomi plans to launch a flagship with similar capabilities to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which could feature ultra-wide band (UWB) tracking technology and an under-display selfie camera. As GSArena reports, UWB is already featured in the latest flagship devices from both Apple and Samsung.
Both Samsung SmartTag and Apple AirTag use this technology for accurate tracking using the Galaxy S21 and iPhone 12 respectively.
Xiaomi may be planning to introduce UWB-compatible, trackable accessories.

In recent implementations, an under-display camera is still not ideal, as a display is not yet transparent enough to allow light to pass through. However, a recent patent from Google can be solved by using switching prisms.

Xiaomi’s flagship is expected to have the same impressive camera setup as the Mi 11 Ultra. Apart from this, the device could feature 120W wired fast-charging with 70W fast-wireless charging support.

In June, Xiaomi India announced that its Mi 11X series of devices registered record sales of over Rs 300 crore in just 45 days of launch.

Both the Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro feature great cameras, the latest flagship Snapdragon 870 and 888 series chipsets, powerful Dolby Stereo speakers, 120 Hz E4 Super AMOLED display and fast charging capabilities, all aimed at delivering a premium smartphone experience.
