Government has promoted water conservation awareness: Kataria
Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Ratan Lal Kataria said that the government is leaving no stone unturned to connect with the people and make them aware about water conservation.
Addressing the 27th Jal Dialogue organized by the National Water Mission (NWM) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, he said that the Ministry has started massive awareness campaigns to sensitize people about the judicious use of water and its conservation. He said that the Ministry is leaving no stone unturned to connect with the people and to realize the vision of the Prime Minister, that is, to make water the duty of everyone. Kataria said that in the last two years, the ministry has launched several important programs and campaigns such as Jal Shakti Abhiyan-1, Jal Shakti Abhiyan- ‘Catch the Rain: Where it falls when it falls’. The minister requested the states to conserve rain water.
