Nationwide campaign by left parties against inflation

Despite incessant rains for the third day today, as part of the nationwide campaign being run by the Left parties against the back-breaking inflation of petroleum products and essential commodities, public relations, leaflet distribution and meetings continued in various villages of Tarun block of the district. In this sequence, separate meetings were also organized at the residence of Communist Party of India District Secretary Ram Teerth Pathak in Haiderganj and senior CPI(M) leader Mohd Ishaq in Sahtipur village and Ram Prakash Tiwari, District President of Kisan Sabha in Beruganj.
On this occasion, the Left leaders targeted the central and state government fiercely due to rising inflation and sufferings of the general public. The speakers said that on one hand the common life is in deep trouble due to the Corona epidemic, while on the other hand the country is going through an unprecedented economic crisis due to the anti-people policies of the government. In the meeting, curbing inflation, hoarding, black marketing, withdrawal of petroleum price hike, giving one thousand rupees per month epidemic allowance to all laborers as per the government announcement, making government health services universal by stopping the arbitrariness of private hospitals and all ration cards. The demand for providing 10 kg per unit ration to the holders was raised prominently and it was said that the agitation would be intensified in the coming days for the above demands of public interest. CPI state council member Ashok Kumar Tiwari, CPI(M) district secretary Mata Badal, CPI(ML) district in-charge Ateeq Ahmed, Amarnath Verma, Umakant Vishwakarma, Pappu Sonkar, Avadharam Yadav, Rajesh Gupta etc. were involved in the campaign.
