Record increase in daily corona cases in Indonesia
Indonesia recorded 12,990 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the highest daily number of cases since the end of January. With this, the total number of corona cases here has increased to 1,963,266. Quoting the ministry, the death toll has risen to 54,043.
Meanwhile, 7907 patients who have recovered from the pandemic have been discharged from hospitals, taking the total number of people who have recovered from the epidemic in the Southeast Asian country to 1,779,127.
The epidemic has spread to all 34 provinces of the country.Notably, in the last 24 hours, Jakarta reported 4,737 new confirmed cases, West Java 2,791, Central Java 1,331, East Java 731 and Yogyakarta 592.
No new cases were reported in Maluku province.
