Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi turned 51 on June 19. Congressmen celebrated birthday amidst various events under the COVID protocol.
In view of the extraordinary hardship being faced by the people in the wake of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rahul Gandhi has decided not to celebrate his birthday.
According to their sentiments, Congressmen held a seminar at the party office Kamala Nehru Bhawan, Rikabganj. After which the masks, sanitizers were distributed among the passers-by and fed them sweets. The meeting was presided over by District President Akhilesh Yadav and conducted by PCC member Mohammad Sharif. Chief guest MLC Deepak Singh said that today is a very proud day and on this day we are doing various public interest programs. District in-charge Hanumant Vishwakarma called for taking public interest works to the people. Former District President Ramdas Verma, AICC members Rajendra Pratap Singh, Ugrasen Mishra, Virendra Saini etc. were present. Congressmen, led by party state secretary Sunil, provided food to blind students with their own hands at Shri Ram Avadh Andh Vidyalaya in Ayodhya.
