Uttarakhand : Mother Ganga is the pride of Indian Sanatan Dharma: Swami Adhokshanand

Haridwar : Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Adhokshanand Maharaj has said that Mother Ganga is the center of faith of crores of devotees and the pride of Indian Sanatan Dharma. By taking a bath in the waters of the impure holy mother Ganges, one becomes free from all sins. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Adhokshanand Maharaj, who visited Shripanch Nirmohi Ani Akhara at Bairagi Camp, while wishing the devotees on Ganga Dussehra said that Ganga has descended on earth for the salvation of mankind. Following the Kovid rules on Ganga Dussehra, devotees take a holy dip in the Ganges and pray to the country and the world to end the corona epidemic. He said that by the grace of Mother Ganga, the corona epidemic will end. Life will be normal and there will be prosperity again in the country and the world. Shri Mahant Rajendra Das Maharaj, President of All India Shripanch Nirmohi Akhara said that Mother Ganga, which has been flowing on the earth since ages after coming out of the locks of Lord Shiva, is doing welfare of the living beings. But due to human errors, pollution in the Ganges is increasing. Everyone should cooperate to make Ganga pollution free and uninterrupted and clean. He said that Ganga Dussehra is an opportunity to get rid of sins by bathing in the Ganges and understand one’s responsibility towards Ganga. All the devotees who come for bath on Ganga Dussehra must also take a pledge to make Ganga pollution free. Ganga can be made clean, pure and uninterrupted only with public cooperation. Therefore, devotees who come for Ganga bath should not put any kind of dirt and clothes in the Ganges. Inspire others also towards the cleanliness of Ganga. Shri Mahant Ramjidas and Mahant Govind Das Maharaj, secretary of All India Shripanch Nirmohi Akhara said that one gets freedom from sins only by having darshan of the Ganges water and doing Aachman. Mother Ganga is salvation. It is the duty of all the countrymen to keep Ganga free from pollution. Saints like Mahant Shivnath Das, Mahant Satnam Das, Mahant Amit Das, Mahant Ramdas, Mahant August Das, Mahant Raghuvir Das, Mahant Bihari Sharan, Mahant Surajdas, Mahant Premdas etc. were present on this occasion.
