Petrol crosses Rs 97 in Delhi
Petrol and diesel prices were increased once again today, due to which petrol in Delhi and Kolkata crossed Rs 97 per liter for the first time. In other cities too, the prices of both fossil fuels reached new record levels.
Petrol became costlier by up to 29 paise and diesel by 30 paise in four metros of the country. Earlier there was no change in the prices.
According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol in Delhi increased by 29 paise to Rs 97.22 and diesel by 28 paise to a record high of Rs 87.97 per liter. So far in June, the price of petrol in Delhi has increased by Rs 2.99 and diesel by Rs 2.82. Earlier in May, petrol was costlier by Rs 3.83 and diesel by Rs 4.42.
Petrol price in Mumbai today increased by 28 paise to Rs 103.36 and diesel by 30 paise to Rs 95.44 per liter.
In Chennai, petrol became costlier by 26 paise and diesel by 27 paise. There one liter of petrol was sold today for Rs 98.40 and diesel for Rs 92.58.
The price of petrol and diesel in Kolkata increased by 28-28 paise. There petrol reached Rs 97.12 and diesel at Rs 90.82 per liter.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
