Himachal Pradesh : Virtual farewell organized for final year students in Shoolini University

Solan : The Literature Society Balletristic, Department of English, Shoolini University organized a virtual farewell for the outgoing students of the department today.

Although it has been a difficult time for all the students due to the corona virus, the online classes and other activities of the English department contributed to maintain a bond between the students and the teachers. Classes were held regularly and literary activities were also organized in which the students enthusiastically participated.

The program summarized student life before and during the lockdown, some poems reminiscent of bygone years, and several speeches by outgoing students. The views expressed especially by Saqib, Chetali, Ritika and Jagriti were highly appreciated.

With the academic year coming to an end, the annual examinations have been conducted online and the traditional farewell ritual has now turned into a virtual one and pre-final year students invite their seniors for a warm farewell.

On this occasion the faculty members of the department, Prof. Manju Zaidka, Prof. Tejnath Dhar, Prof. Poornima Bali, Prof. Neeraj Pizar and Prof. Sakshi Sundaram also extended their best wishes to the final year students for their next phase of life. The organizing student committee included Vaishali, Snehanjali, Rasvika, Garima, Sakshi and others.

In particular, the senior students appreciated the role played by the Balletrist, Literature Society of Shoolini, in preparing and introducing them to the enthusiasm provided by the study of literature. Ritika Tomar, who is now passing out, in particular, worked very actively in reporting and compiling the activities of the Society.
