India’s most wanted economic fugitives Mallya, Nirav Modi, Choksi’s assets worth 9,371 crore transferred to banks
A big news is coming about the country’s most wanted economic fugitives Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi. Efforts are on to bring these three to India and it is expected that soon these three countries will also be brought. Together these three have defrauded the banks of thousands of crores. Meanwhile, a tweet has been made from the official Twitter handle of Enforcement Directorate. According to the tweet from the official Twitter handle, the ED has attached and seized assets worth 18170 crores of Vijay Mallya, Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi. This amount is about 80.45 percent of the total loss of the banks. The tweet further said that a major part of the assets seized under PMLA has also been transferred to public sector banks and the central government. This amount is Rs 9371 crore. Mehul Choksi is accused of defrauding Punjab National Bank of 13500 crores.
