State Integrated Cooperative Development Project review meeting chaired by Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat
Dehradun : Under the chairmanship of Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Minister of State for Cooperation, a review meeting of the State Integrated Cooperative Development Project under the Department of Cooperation was organized in the Secretariat on Wednesday. Chief Secretary Shri Om Prakash was also present on the occasion. During the meeting, Minister of State for Cooperatives Dr. Dhansingh Rawat said that various schemes are being run by the state government for the all-round development of the cooperatives of the hill state Uttarakhand, to prevent migration from rural areas, to generate employment in rural areas and to improve the standard of living of the farmers. Its being done. He said that the Chief Minister’s Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana would improve the standard of living of women as well as increase milk production in the hilly districts of the state. For this, special attention should be paid to the production and distribution of silage (fodder for animals). Cooperation Minister Dr. Rawat said that joint cooperative cultivation of ginger can play an important role in increasing the income of the farmers. He said that construction of Rose Valley Nursery in Almora would boost tourism and employment in Almora. The land left barren by the farmers can also be put to use. Chief Secretary Shri Omprakash said that to give further impetus to the Cluster Development Project for Manduwa and Jhangora, focus should be on Institutional Buying. He said that Manduwa and Jhangaura can be used in mid day meal. The farmers will get more profit due to consumption in large quantity. He said that there is a need to focus more in the field of mushroom production and animal husbandry.
