CM pays tribute to Martyr Major Vivek Gupta

Dehradun : Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat participated in the program organized on the occasion of martyrdom day of Dr. Syamaprasad Mukherjee at Shaheed Major Vivek Gupta Primary School, Kanwli, Dehradun. The Chief Minister paid tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee by paying floral tributes to him. Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee was an educationist, thinker and founder of Jana Sangh. He was a worshiper and theorist of humanity. Dr. Mukherjee was the first Industries Minister of the country. He resigned from the cabinet considering commitment to national interests as his top priority. At a very young age, he became the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calcutta. The Chief Minister said that Dr. Mukherjee wanted to make Jammu and Kashmir a complete and integral part of India. Jammu and Kashmir had a separate flag and a separate constitution. He advocated the abolition of Article 370. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi removed Article 370 and 35 from Jammu and Kashmir. He made his dream come true. Today Jammu and Kashmir is connected with the main stream of development. The Chief Minister paid tribute to the martyr Major Vivek Gupta by paying floral tributes on the occasion.

On this occasion MLA Mr. Harvansh Kapoor, BJP State Spokesperson Mr. Vinay Goyal, Councilor Mrs. Archana Pundir, Mr. Subham Negi, Mr. Amit Kapoor, Mr. Dinesh Rawat etc. were present.
