Uttarakhand / Haridwar : AAP workers protested demanding a CBI inquiry into the library scam

Aam Aadmi Party workers demonstrated at the office of BJP state president Madan Kaushik in Khanna Nagar, demanding a CBI inquiry into the library scam. During this, AAP’s state vice-president OP Mishra said that the government had allocated one and a half crore rupees for the construction of libraries in many colonies in the city. But libraries were not built in any colony. The places where libraries were shown had private residences, processions and dharamshalas. This is not the first case when the MLA and the state president of BJP have been accused. Serious allegations have also been made against Madan Kaushik in corruption and other cases in Kumbh while being the Urban Development Minister. OP Mishra said that the party whose president is accused of corruption. It is meaningless to expect a fair investigation from the government of such a party. Therefore, the government should conduct a CBI inquiry into the library case. Former district president Hema Bhandari said that the BJP government of the state is completely involved in corruption. Local MLA and state president Madan Kaushik has been accused even by BJP MLA and Minister of State Swami Yatheeswaranand. District Secretary Anil Sati said that the scam in the construction of library is not the first case of corruption. If a CBI inquiry is conducted, more cases of scam will open. Along with the library case, a CBI inquiry should also be conducted into the construction works done in the Kumbh Mela.
