Petrol in Mumbai Rs 104, in Chennai close to Rs 99

Petrol and diesel prices rose to a new record level today after a day’s break. Petrol became costlier by 26 paise and diesel by 7 paise today in four major metros of the country. With this, petrol has reached close to Rs 104 per liter in Mumbai and Rs 99 per liter in Chennai.

According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol in Delhi increased by 26 paise to Rs 97.76 and that of diesel by 7 paise to Rs 88.30 per liter. So far in June, the price of petrol in Delhi has increased by Rs 3.53 and that of diesel by Rs 3.15. Earlier in May, petrol was costlier by Rs 3.83 and diesel by Rs 4.42.
In Mumbai too, petrol became costlier by 26 paise and diesel by seven paise. There one liter of petrol was sold today for Rs 103.89 and one liter of diesel for Rs 95.79.
In Chennai, petrol became costlier by 23 paise to Rs 98.88 and diesel by 6 paise to Rs 92.89 per liter. In Kolkata, the price of petrol was increased by 25 paise and that of diesel by seven paise. There petrol became Rs 97.63 and diesel Rs 91.15 per liter.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
