Uttarakhand: State cabinet meeting today, decisions can be taken on preparations for Chardham Yatra and third wave
Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has suddenly called a meeting of the state cabinet on Friday. It is believed that this meeting has been called in the order of the third wave of COVID epidemic and the recent directions of the High Court on Chardham Yatra.
Preparations for Chardham Yatra will be discussed
In this meeting to be held in the secretariat, the preparations for Chardham Yatra will be discussed and a decision will be taken in this regard. The state government has decided to start the yatra in a phased manner from July 1. There is a preparation to open the yatra for the people of the state from July 11, but on Thursday, on a PIL, the High Court has asked the state government to postpone the yatra or extend the date of travel.
The court raised questions on the preparedness of the state government
Apart from this, in view of the possibility of third wave of Kovid epidemic, the court has also raised questions on the preparedness of the state government. The government can take new decisions on both these issues in the cabinet.
Apart from this, proposals related to education, disaster management, health, transport, tourism and loan can also be discussed in the cabinet. A proposal for a law on fees for private schools may also come in the cabinet.
Recommendations of cabinet subcommittees can also be placed
The Education Department has already sent a draft of the fees of private schools to the government. Education Minister Arvind Pandey has also indicated before the proposal will come in the cabinet. Apart from this, the recommendations of the cabinet sub-committees can also be placed before the cabinet.
The Chief Minister had formed cabinet sub-committees with regard to the honorarium, mining and procurement rules of the employees, who have prepared their recommendations and submitted them to the government.
