Karnataka will further relax lockdown restrictions from June 28

With a large number of people recovering from corona in Karnataka, the state government has decided to further relax the COVID restrictions by allowing marriage ceremonies in marriage halls, hotels, resorts and function halls from June 28. The government has said that for all these functions, however, the maximum number of guests has been fixed at only 40.

In a circular, the government also said that those arranging marriages would have to take prior permission from the local authorities concerned.

According to the circular, the concerned officer will issue 40 passes by name per marriage ceremony.

It added that only those with passes would be allowed to attend marriage ceremonies and the passes would not be transferable.
