ED arrests two associates of Anil Deshmukh

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday arrested two associates of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in the alleged Haftar case. The names of both are Kundan Shinde and Sanjeev Palande, who are working as personal employees with senior Nationalist Congress Party leader Deshmukh.
The action came a day after the ED raided the Nagpur and Mumbai residences of Deshmukh besides his associates, which was opposed by the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
Earlier on April 24, the Central Bureau of Investigation had raided 10 locations in several cities against Deshmukh.

he 71-year-old leader was detained for several hours at his house during searches of his premises.
Following the allegations against him and the Bombay High Court’s directions, Deshmukh stepped down as the Home Minister of Maharashtra on 5 April.
