BJP President Madan Kaushik made a clear picture about CM Tirath Singh Rawat contesting the by-election
BJP state president Madan Kaushik on Sunday clarified the stand of the party regarding Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat contesting the by-election. Kaushik, who reached the Chintan Shivir, told the media on the questions that according to the rules, the Election Commission should conduct the elections. Said that the party is ready to announce the commission by-elections.
He said that the leader of the legislature party is nominated by the Governor as the Chief Minister and on the recommendation of the Chief Minister the oath is administered to the Cabinet. Kaushik told about Article 164(4) of the Constitution. Said that the Constitution clearly states that the Chief Minister or Minister who is not a member of the House, then he has to become a member within 6 months. Otherwise he would have had to step down. Said that there is all the arrangement in the constitution, according to that the Election Commission has to conduct elections during this period. He said that there is no talk of constitutional crisis in the state. Kaushik said that the party workers are busy preparing for the booth level.
Tirath will be BJP’s CM candidate
BJP state president Madan Kaushik has given a clear statement regarding the party’s CM candidate in the upcoming assembly elections 2022. Kaushik said that Tirath Singh Rawat is the current chief minister and it is obvious that he will be the chief ministerial candidate in the next elections.

BJP state president Madan Kaushik clarified the matter of Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat contesting the by-election and also told the constitutional clauses. But when asked from which seat Tirath would be contested, he replied in a roundabout way that the Election Commission should announce the election, after that the seat would be decided.
