AAP leader Col Ajay Kothiyal will contest against Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat
Col Ajay Kothiyal (Retd) who joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will contest against Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat in the Uttarakhand by-polls.
The Aam Aadmi Party has made this announcement during a press conference in Dehradun on Thursday. During this, AAP spokesperson Naveen Pirsali challenged Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat and asked him to contest the by-election from Gangotri seat. Aam Aadmi candidate Ajay Kothiyal will contest from the Chief Minister in this seat.

After the name of Ajay Kothiyal was announced for the Gangotri seat, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has wished him all the best. He wrote on his social media post ‘Colonel sir, best wishes. You saved the country by laying down your life in the army. Now Uttarakhand is looking towards you. The corrupt politics here also has to be cleaned up.
