Instead of scrapping agricultural laws, amend the controversial part: Pawar

Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar has made a big statement on the controversial agricultural laws. Instead of rejecting agriculture laws outright, those parts of it should be amended which are causing problems to the farmers. He said that a group of ministers from the Maharashtra government is studying different aspects of the agriculture law passed by the Centre.

When Sharad Pawar was asked whether the Maharashtra government would bring a resolution against the agriculture law. On this, he said, instead of rejecting the entire bill, we can amend the part about which the farmers have objection, he said that it will be brought in the assembly only after considering all the parties related to this bill. Sharad Pawar said that a group of ministers is considering this law. If this group brings necessary changes in the favor of farmers, then there is no need to bring a resolution against these agricultural laws. Sharad Pawar said that the states should consider its controversial aspects before passing this law in their own right, only then a decision should be taken on it. Pawar said he does not think that any discussion will be held on this in the two-day session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. The NCP chief said that if it comes then it should be considered. Significantly, farmers have been protesting in Delhi since November 26 last year against the Agriculture Act passed by the Centre. Farmers are protesting at Ghazipur border, Singhu border.
