Pallavi Tyagi, Police Officer, Nehru Colony, Dehradun and Nodal Officer of Anti Human Trafficking Cell discussed the increasing human trafficking by meeting with public representatives and dignitaries of Chakrata reach area. Said that people from all sections of the society have to come forward to stop human trafficking. Police Officer Pallavi Tyagi, who reached Chakrata on Saturday afternoon, interacted with the people present in the meeting held at Chakrata police station. He said that for a long time, cases of human trafficking are coming to the fore in the state, which is increasing continuously. Said people are unknowingly falling prey to human trafficking. By the time he comes to know about this, he has become a victim of active gangs. Tyagi said that if anyone comes to know of child marriage or human trafficking with any female child, immediately inform the police. The name of the informer is kept confidential. Said that if any person is found doing child labor then strict action will be taken against them. Gyanendra Kumar, head of Empowering Pupil said that people of Jaunsar Bawar area are also unknowingly becoming victims of human trafficking. Said that most human trafficking is done in the name of marriage. In many cases, marriage is done by paying money to the girl’s family members. He said that if any activity like mismatched marriage, child marriage or child labor is seen around anyone, then immediately inform the police or toll free number.
