Uttarakhand : Newly appointed Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu met Chief Minister Dhami
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy visit to BJP State President Shri Madan Kaushik at his residence in Yamuna Colony.
Sukhbir Singh Sandhu has become the new Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand. Sandhu, a 1988 batch IAS officer, was on deputation to the Center till now. In the morning itself, the state government had urged the Center to relieve him. As soon as he was relieved from the center, he was posted on the Chief Secretary. Till now Om Prakash of 1987 batch was handling the responsibility of Chief Secretary. They have been kept waiting for the time being. Om Prakash has been made the chairman of the revenue council. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu has also served in Punjab. He is MBBS from Government Medical College Amritsar. He holds a Master’s degree in History from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Apart from this, he is also a law graduate. While working as MC Commissioner in Ludhiana, he has also received the President’s Medal.
