Lovely Professional University’s female wrestler Simran won the trial

Will represent India in Junior World Wrestling Championship
Female wrestler Simran from Lovely Professional University Jalandhar will represent India in the Junior World Wrestling Championship held in Ufa (Russia). The daughter of Lovely Professional University has sealed her place for the Junior World Wrestling Championships, creating history in Delhi. The daughter, who learned tricks from the wrestling coach Vijay Kumar of Lovely Professional University, will now try to fulfill her dreams by winning a medal for the nation. The Junior World Wrestling Championships will be held in Ufa (Russia) from 16 to 22 August 2021.
Team India’s selection trial to participate in the World Championship on behalf of the Wrestling Federation of India was held today at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Delhi in which Simran, a female wrestler from Lovely Professional University Jalandhar in the 50 kg category of women’s freestyle, won both her In the match, defeating Haryana’s strong rivals Final and Honey and beating Uttar Pradesh’s Nisha to secure her place in Team India. On his victory, LPU Sports Director Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma, LPU Wrestling Coach Vijay Kumar, Arjuna Awardee Kripashankar Bishnoi, Deepak Kumar have congratulated him and wished him a bright future.
