Nomination will be done for 8 block chief elections in UP
The dates for the block chief elections in Uttar Pradesh have been announced. Nominations will be held on July 8 and elections and counting will be held on July 10. With this, there has been a lot of confusion about the main election. The entire election related proceedings will be completed within three days. According to the Election Commission, nominations can be made on July 8 from 11 am to 3 pm. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on the same day after 3 pm. The names can be withdrawn till 3 pm on the next day, July 9. Voting will be held on the very next day, July 10, from 11 am to 3 pm. Counting of votes will be started after 3 pm and results will be declared.
The Additional Chief Secretary issued the notification regarding the election of the Block Head. He said that the Governor, in consultation with the State Election Commission, has fixed the time from July 5 to July 10 for the general election of the head of the Kshetra Panchayats-2021. After this, the State Election Commission released the detailed program related to the election.
According to the commission, the district magistrate / district election officer will issue the election related notification on July 5. Scrutiny of nominations and nomination papers for the main post will be held on July 8. The process of withdrawal of nomination will be done on July 9. Both polling and counting have been fixed on July 10.
