Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Caught smuggling raw liquor
As part of the campaign being run against the smuggling and sale of illegal liquor, the policemen of police station Kankhal have arrested an accused smuggling raw liquor during patrolling. Five liters of liquor was recovered from the possession of the accused. According to the information received from the police, constables Kuldeep Kumar and Sultan Singh posted in Kankhal police station were on patrol in Bajriwala area of Bairagi. Meanwhile, Tejpal resident of village Lalitpur police station Bahjoi Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, who was smuggling raw liquor, arrested Bairagi camp, resident of Hal. Five liters of raw liquor has been recovered from Tejpal’s possession. A case has been registered against the accused under the Excise Act.
