Sarpanch by-elections will be held in Rajasthan from July 25
In Rajasthan, by-elections for Sarpanch and Up-Sarpanch will be held on July twenty-five and twenty-six. The State Election Commission has announced the election schedule for the by-elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions. As per the schedule, the notification for these by-elections will be issued on July 14. Nomination papers for this can be submitted on July 19 from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm.
Chief Electoral Officer and Secretary Chitra Gupta said that the scrutiny of nomination papers would be held on July 20 and withdrawal of nominations would be done till July 20 at 3 pm. After this, allotment of election symbol will be done on July 22. Polling for the by-election will be held on July 25 from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm and the counting of votes will also begin on the same day immediately after the poll ends.
Similarly, the by-election for the Upsarpanch will be held on July 26. He said that by-elections would be held on vacant posts of Sarpanch in 50 Gram Panchayats and vacant posts of Up Sarpanch and Ward Panchs in these Gram Panchayats.
