National Fisheries Day celebrated in Agricultural University

Milkipur : Under the aegis of Acharya Narendra Dev Agricultural and Technological University, Kumarganj, Ayodhya, on the occasion of National Fisheries Day on Saturday by the College of Fisheries, along with online seminar and training program, fish seed collection of Indian major corp species in Gomti river. The tax was celebrated. The program started with the introduction of all the invited speakers by the Dean of Fisheries College. The Chief Guest of this seminar, Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Bijendra Singh, while congratulating all the fish farmers associated with the entire state on this occasion, interacted with all the scientists of the college, fisheries department officials, NABARD officials and private sector businessmen in the program. Calling for research and promotion of value added products, integrated fisheries needs to be done in the field of fisheries. The production is not being done according to the capacity of water sources in the state, it needs attention. The Vice Chancellor wished the program success. Invited speaker Puneet Kumar, Deputy Director Fisheries Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, was provided information about the schemes run by the state government and how the fish farmers can get the benefits of the schemes were explained in detail. In the schemes, the provision of 40 percent grant for general category and 60 percent for reserved category was also told and detailed information was also given about the scheme of marketing of value added products, cold chain etc. Program SK Verma, Assistant Professor, College of Fisheries, gave detailed information on fish breeding techniques in the lecture on catalysed fish breeding and answered the questions related to various problems of fish farmers involved in the program. Invited in the program, Shri Rajesh Kumar Yadav, AGM of NABARD, informed about the various schemes being run by NABARD, along with Akash Gupta, invited from Virbek Company in the program, informed about the usefulness of the products manufactured by the company.

The media in-charge of the university, Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Singh said that the convener Dr. CP Singh, co-convenor Dr. Laxmi Prasad and Dr. Dinesh Kumar had an important contribution in organizing the programme. The program was conducted by Dr. Bonika Pant and co-organizing secretary Dr. Shakeela Khan, Dr. Shashank Singh, Dr. Jyoti Saroj contributed significantly in the successful organization of the program. Declared the result of the quiz competition organized by the Dean Fisheries College on this occasion, in which Sonal Chaudhary, second Anshika Pathak and third prize were won by Shubham Kannojia. Under this program 5000 fingers of Indian Major Corp species were also collected in Gomti river.
