Himachal Pradesh / Solan : Kerala bikers on YouViccan awareness mission

Two fans of national cricket hero and cancer survivor Yuvraj Singh from Kerala reached Shoolini University on bike to make people aware about 1000 beds of his foundation’s mission to fight covid. The bike riders started their journey on 5th July and will continue their journey till Leh and Ladakh.

Two bikers, Ashkar and Safir, hail from Kerala and have borne the expenses for the entire tour and awareness programme. Ashkar works as a promoter of Panasonic in Dubai and is currently on leave, so he decided to utilize the time and thank the doctors and volunteers who are supporting Yuvraj Singh’s Youvican Foundation. These two riders also have an organization which is registered as “Uvians Kerala”. Traveling in different states, Safir said that it was an experience of a lifetime.

YouViccan volunteers of Shoolini University welcomed him on his stay at the university. Both the bikers briefed the YouViccan volunteers about the initiative of Yuvraj Singh Foundation, where they are on a mission to provide 1000 beds across the country to fight COVID and other medical emergencies. At present 470 beds have been set up across the country and 10 beds have been set up in Rohru and Theog in Himachal Pradesh.

Both the riders had a wonderful experience at the university, after meeting the Vice-Chancellor Professor Atul Khosla and visiting the campus, they proceeded for their journey. Pro. Khosla wished him a safe journey ahead and wished him all the best for his awareness programme.
