Admissions in Delhi University can start after July 15!

The cancellation of class 12th board exams and delay in results is also affecting the admissions in universities. The first year admission process in Delhi University was to be started from July 15, but now this process will be started in August. Delhi University has clarified that this year also the admission process may get delayed. Delhi University’s acting vice-chancellor PC Joshi says that the admission process will start after the declaration of CBSE Board Class XII results. However, this admission process in colleges may start late as compared to last year.
The Vice Chancellor said that students of various state boards and CBSE will be given equal weightage in the admissions of Delhi University.
According to Delhi University, admission for the academic session 2021-22 can start in the first week of August. The preparation for the admission process is going on. CBSE results will come only by July 31 and instructions have not been received from the Ministry of Education regarding the Common Entrance Test.
The result of class XII students will be declared by the CBSE by July 31.
It is worth noting that the process of preparing CBSE 12th board result has been started. Instructions have been issued to CBSE schools for this. The schools will have to upload the marks scored by the students in class 11th. Apart from this, CBSE has asked schools to upload practical and project marks.
CBSE has adopted this policy after extensive consultation with all the stakeholders to prepare the 12th board result. Under this, while calculating the final result, the average of the marks of the 3 best theory subjects of class 10, 30 percent weightage of class 11 theory and 40 percent weightage of class 12 theory will be taken. Marks assigned in practicals will be taken as they are.
