Chhattisgarh / Jagdalpur : Force making way to reach top leadership of Naxalites in core areas

Police increased its interference in three thousand square km area by opening 30 camps in interior areas in 2 years

In the Naxal affected districts of Bastar of Chhattisgarh. Keeping in mind the three-pronged formula of trust, development and security, the police has started working on a strategy to have direct intervention in the interior and sensitive areas of Bastar. The spirit of the force is high due to the initial success in this mission. In fact, with this campaign, the force is trying to reach the top leadership of the Naxalites, especially in the core area. Its direct objective is that step by step, the base of Naxalites can be eliminated in the entire area. For this, apart from Kattekalyan, Badimhu, Tiriya of South, West Bastar, Basaguda, Jagargunda, Tarrem, Pamed, Usoor, Dharma, Chintalnar, Kishtaram followed by opening camps in Silger have pushed the Naxalites on the back foot. All these areas were once considered safe havens for Naxalites. As per the prescribed strategy, teams of officers engaged in anti-Naxal operation are focusing on expansion of bridges, roads, Anganwadi, electricity and health facilities along with camps to carry out this campaign in collaboration with other departments of administration.

Force eyes on the cross route of Naxalites

The faster the camps are opened in sensitive areas, the faster the information system of the police is also strengthened. Due to this, the police also get inputs from internal areas easily. Apart from this, a big advantage of the camps is that the force can easily keep an eye on the cross route of the Naxalites. The cross route is generally used by big Naxalites for easy access from one place to another. These routes are used after any major incident. Not only this, the movement of Naxalites becomes very easy through the cross route. They reach the meetings in remote areas in very less time.

The area of influence of Naxalites ends with the opening of the camp

Road construction takes place at a very fast pace in the areas where force camps open. Its direct effect is that the movement of Naxalites comes under the supervision of the police. Along with this, gradually the influence of Naxalites ends in these areas. 140 camps have been opened in Bastar division since last 20 years. However, most of these camps have opened only in the last 5-6 years.

Development and trust with security: IG

Focusing on the principles of trust, development and security, the force is working in various interior areas of Bastar. According to IG Bastar Range Sundarraj P, earlier there was a perception that the camps are opened to remove the Naxalite problem, but now the aim is to increase the overall development in the interior areas and increase the confidence of the people in the administration.
