Jharkhand Hockey Association President Bhola Nath Singh has welcomed the excellent initiative of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to spread awareness about the Olympics, saying that the 126-member team to go to Tokyo will be the largest Indian contingent ever to participate in the Olympics.
Singh said in a webinar on India’s participation in Tokyo Olympics organized under the aegis of Press Information Bureau, Regional Outreach Bureau Ranchi and Field Outreach Bureau Gumla, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, that most of the players in the team are those who have before the Olympics. The performance has been very good and he is a good contender to win a medal. The Indian men’s and women’s hockey team is also going to perform better and the team’s result can be shocking. At the same time, three to four medals in wrestling are being confirmed. He requested all the countrymen to encourage all the players and pray that they bring victory to the country.

Earlier, at the beginning of the webinar, Regional Publicity Officer Mahvish Rahman said, in the history of Olympics, India has won 28 medals so far.
