Budget of 50 crores will be spent on development works in hundred wards : Mayor

The municipal board meeting ended with the announcements of development works by Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama. He said that a budget of Rs 50 crore would be spent in 100 wards of the Municipal Corporation. The tender process for which will be started soon. Giving details, he said that earlier the councilors were allowed to get the development work done with a budget of Rs.10 lakh per ward. Which has now been increased to twenty lakh rupees per reward. Apart from this, work orders have started being issued after the completion of the tender process for development works with a budget of Rs 8 crore. He himself will get the development work of twenty lakh rupees done in each ward. If there is more or less in this, then after discussion on it, the appropriate decision will be taken. A budget provision of Rs 1.5 crore has been made for the repair of government houses and offices, Rs 5 crore for Go Sadan and zonal offices etc. For grass cutting machines and spray machines, it was decided to give three thousand rupees to each ward instead of two. Apart from this, the proposal to do work up to 2.5 lakh rupees without quotation was approved in all the wards.
