Uttarakhand / Pithoragarh : Villagers’ fast continues for the third day to demand road construction

The villagers’ hunger strike continued for the third day demanding the proposed road construction work from Madkanali to Surkhalpathak.

Committee chairman Lalit Singh Bisht said that 11 km road from Madkanali to Surkhalpathak is not coming out of the files. Due to this, people of Dhuna, Kokila, Betgada, Chamlekh and other villages are facing problems. The villagers have demanded the state government to start the road construction work at the earliest. During this, many villagers including Dan Singh Bhandari, Narayan Singh, Balveer Singh, Deepa Devi, Govindi Devi, Rakhi Bisht were present.
