Students studying in Baddi University will now be more skilled and they will be able to earn along with studies. The students of Baddi University will now be accommodated in BBN and major industries of the province during their studies and there they will work according to the needs of the industry. During this, the concerned company or industry will also give training allowance ranging from Rs 7500 to Rs 12000 to the students during training and Baddi University has named this scheme as Earn Wyl Learn (earning during studies).
Addressing the journalists in Baddi today, Baddi University Deputy Vice Chancellor JK Sharma and Assistant Director Marketing Jagdish Badal and Technical Advisor Rajendra Guleria said that Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology with 19 years of excellence in teaching, research and knowledge. It is striving to gain prominence in transfer and make valuable contribution to the socio-economic development of the region and the country. Baddi University, being located in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, the heterogeneous industrial hub of India and the largest pharmaceutical hub in Asia, represents industries for job training, live projects, guest lectures, course design and industrial visits. and provides various types of employment opportunities. Baddi University offers degrees in Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Applied Sciences, Physiotherapy, Nursing and Agriculture, not only as a duty in the field of education, but as a commitment to the advancement of society. Also to meet the manpower requirement of the industry, with an aim to provide an impetus and to create linkages for academia, students and industry, Baddi University is going to start an Academic Adoption Program in Himachal Pradesh as follows: is the first step.
The course will provide students with academic performance as well as practical experience in the industry while studying in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Under the programme, the industry will employ students from the second year of the course. Students will be employed in the industry for 15 days in a month, for which they will also be given a stipend ranging from Rs 7500 to Rs 12000 depending on the work done for the adopting company and the pay scale. The Earn While You Learn program will provide a support system to students from economically challenged families.
The objective of the university is to provide suitable gainful employment to the students after completion of the course in the adopted company and this program will provide opportunities to the students to complete their degree as well as skill development.
