Death toll in landslide accident in central Japan rises to 15

The death toll has risen to 15 after two more people were killed in a landslide in central Japan’s Atami city earlier this month. Earlier, 13 deaths were confirmed.

Atami city officials have confirmed two more deaths and they were being treated at a city hospital. 14 people are still missing in this accident. Relief and rescue teams have recovered another body from the rubble in the same area, but it is not yet clear whether he died in a landslide. 1300 policemen, fire brigade personnel and self-defense personnel are still searching for the missing people in this area.
