Forest fire, declaration of emergency
A state of emergency has been declared in the Canadian province of British Columbia in view of the fierce fire in the forests. The provincial government is declaring a state of emergency in view of the wildfire situation.
He said that the emergency will remain in force for 14 days and it can be extended if required.
He said that the local authorities have reported 299 forest fire incidents across the province. Around 6,000 people have been evacuated and more than 32,000 people have received evacuation alerts. More than 3,000 firefighters are engaged in extinguishing the fire in all parts of the province.
