Enhanced multi-layered security arrangements

In view of the farmers’ protest, multi-layered security has been deployed around Jantar Mantar, which is just a few meters away from Parliament. Farmers are about to organize a farmers’ parliament to protest against three controversial agricultural laws. The entire area of ​​Jantar Mantar has been cordoned off.

Delhi Police along with central forces including RAF and CRF have been deployed to ensure elaborate security arrangements as farmers continue to reach here.

The arrangements have been made keeping in mind the COVID-19 norms. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Wednesday allowed farmers to assemble at Jantar Mantar with proper COVID management security.

As per the DDMA’s approval, farmers will be allowed to protest at Jantar Mantar from July 22 to August 9 in the presence of a maximum of 200 people.

Following the order, Delhi Police has beefed up security at Jantar Mantar and three borders of Delhi – Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur.

Security arrangements are being made to ensure the safety of the farmers and to follow the COVID-19 norms.

Farmers are allowed to protest against three agriculture laws at Jantar Mantar between 11 am and 5 pm.
