DM upset with the functioning of ARTO-Excise officer

DM Eva Srivastava took monthly staff meeting in Collectorate Auditorium. In the meeting, the DM took a jibe at the officials who were doing slander in the name of work. Said that the officers should work responsibly according to the public sentiments. Expressing displeasure over the progress of work of Excise Officer Harish Kumar and ARTO NK Ojha in the staff meeting, the DM said that the methodology should be improved. In comparison to last year, the number of cases of over rate and illegal liquor caught so far in this year has been zero. On which the DM expressed strong displeasure. While cases of liquor being sold at over rate are continuously coming from different areas of the district. But the excise officials are not ready to take action in this direction. The ARTO presented the current year’s data regarding the proceedings in the meeting. Expressing his displeasure over such rhetoric, the DM said that the department should present the comparative figures. District Designated Officer was also asked to give comparative figures. In the meeting, SDM Sadar was instructed to take concrete action on illegal encroachment in New Tehri and submit the report. During the review of the election department, CDO Namami Bansal said that according to the instructions of the government, in such middle places where the number of voters is more than 1000, the assistant middle place has to be selected. He said that the number of such polling places in the district is 41. On which the DM has instructed all the concerned SDMs to submit the report on priority basis while selecting the auxiliary polling places. Review of the disaster directed the SDM to ensure that the report related to any kind of loss of life and property under his area is made available to the district office within 24 to 48 hours. Instructions were given to prepare the estimates of damaged roads and pedestrian routes of the village through BDO. Instructed the Department of Supply that whatever ration cards are found ineligible in the physical verification conducted in relation to the ration card holders of various schemes operated under food security. Prompt action should be taken for their cancellation. Regarding the slow progress of revenue collection, the regional officers of the Revenue Department said that due to Corona, the progress in the recovery works has been slow. SDM Tehri Ravindra Juwantha, Narendranagar SDM Yukta Mishra, Kirtinagar SDM Ajayveer Singh, DSP Mahesh Chand Binjola, Sukhvir Singh Rawat, DSO Mukesh Pal, ARTO NK Ojha, Food Designated Officer MN Joshi, Excise Officer Harish etc. were present in the meeting.
