Uttarakhand : AYUSH Minister Harak Singh Rawat held review meeting of AYUSH department

AYUSH Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat took a review meeting of AYUSH department in his office located in the Vidhan Sabha. The Minister directed the departmental officers to strengthen the infrastructure related to health services to improve health facilities in rural and remote areas and to prevent the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic infection in the state. In this regard, work should be done on the principle of minimum cost and better facilities. This proposal will be brought in the cabinet. It was instructed in the meeting that 24 hours health facilities should be provided in such places where there is no allopathic hospital but there is an Ayurvedic hospital. All types of first aid facilities including oxygen bed cylinders will be provided in these hospitals. There are 429 internal ayurvedic hospitals in the state, out of which 158 ayurvedic hospitals are planned to be upgraded for this purpose. The bed capacity in these hospitals will be increased from 4 to 10. Such Ayurvedic hospitals, which have buildings but lack of equipment and human resources, due to which the above hospitals are not being used properly, equipment, human resources will be arranged by upgrading the above hospitals. On this occasion, Secretary AYUSH Chandresh Yadav, Secretary Finance V. Shanmugam, Additional Secretary Medical Arunendra Chauhan, Additional Secretary Finance Amita Joshi, Director Ayurvedic MP Singh, Deputy Secretary Ayush Gajendra Singh Kafalia and other departmental officers were present.
