Blocked motorways should be opened for traffic within 2 to 4 hours
State Health and Disaster Management Minister, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, during his one-day district visit, took a review meeting of disaster management in the district office auditorium. The Minister for Disaster Management said that JCB could reach the affected site at a speedy speed due to blocked motorways due to rain. For this the prescribed route needs to be reduced. In the meeting, the officials were instructed that the blocked motorways should be opened for traffic within 2 to 4 hours. People’s representatives said that on blocked motorways, JCB operators only remove stones, boulders lying in the middle of the road, while the debris lying on the sides of the road is not removed. To which the minister said that the JCB operator needs a training. For this, he directed the District Disaster Management Officer to conduct online training of JCB operators. Along with this, he has directed the Disaster Management Officer to maintain the Response Time Register, so that it can be ensured that at which stage it took more time to open the blocked motorway and improve it. Apart from this, he instructed the Disaster Management Officer to form a WhatsApp group of public representatives and MLAs. With this, the people’s representatives will be able to be aware of the actual situation on the ground in case of weather forecast and disaster. The Disaster Management Minister also directed the GDMO to get the training of women youth mangal teams done before the possible third wave of corona. He said that the state government is working continuously for displacement. Under which so far more than 1000 disaster affected people have been displaced in the entire state. In the meeting, DM Eva Srivastava informed that sensitive and sensitive places have been selected in the district. Along with this, physical verification of search and rescue equipment has also been done at village level. At the same time, mining work has also been banned during monsoon. In the meeting, MLA Tehri Dr Dhan Singh Negi, MLA Ghansali Shakti Lal Shah, MLA Pratapnagar Vijay Panwar, SSP Tripti Bhatt, CDO Namami Bansal, CMO Dr Sanjay Jain, District Disaster Management Officer Brijesh Bhatt, EE Loniv KS Negi, EE PMGSY Sanjay Jain, EE Electricity Rakesh Kumar, Chief Jakhanidhar Sunita Devi, District President BJP Vinod Raturi and all the officials were present.
