Olympics: Arjun Lal and Arvind Singh enter semi-finals of men’s sailing lightweight doubleskill event

India’s Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh advanced to the semi-finals of the men’s sailing lightweight double sculls event after finishing third in the repechage round at the Tokyo Olympics. The Indian pair clocked 6:51.36.

Competing in Round 2, the Indian pair finished third with a time of 6:51.36. Arjun was the bower while Arvind was the stroker. The pair, running fourth for the initial 1000 metres, later picked up the pace to finish third.

Poland topped the chart with a time of 6:43.44 while Spain finished second. In the six-team event, the last three teams qualified for Final C. Earlier yesterday, the Indian pair, who entered the second heat, clocked 6:40.33 in the six-team event and failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
