Indian women’s hockey team lost 1-5 to Holland

The Indian women’s hockey team put up a disappointing performance on Saturday, losing 1-5 in Group A to Holland in their women’s hockey match at the Tokyo Olympics. In another Pool A match, Ireland beat South Africa 2-0.

For Holland, Albers f scored in the 6th and 43rd minutes, while Van Geffen Am scored in the 33rd, Matala f in the 45th and Van Maskara Si in the 52nd minute. Captain Rani scored India’s only goal in the 28th minute of the match.

The score was tied 1–1 for the first two quarters of the match, but in the third quarter, Holland scored three goals to take the match under control, taking a 4–1 lead. Holland ended India’s struggle by scoring another goal in the last charter.
