After the Kanwar Yatra was postponed due to the threat of COVID , Gangajal was sent from Harki Paidi to Shiv devotees of many states including UP, Delhi, Haryana in conjunction with Being Bhagirath convener Shikhar Paliwal. BJP State President Madan Kaushik, Ganga Sabha President Pradeep Jha and Chief Municipal Commissioner Jai Bharat Singh sent two and a half thousand cans of Ganga water to the devotees of Shiv after worshiping Ganga. BJP State President Madan Kaushik said that Kanwar Yatra is banned due to Corona. But Shiv Bhakt Kanwariyas will not be allowed to be disturbed by the water of Mother Ganga. A can filled with Ganga water will be provided to Shiva devotees in their own states under the campaign of Being Bhagirath. He said that with the blessings of the impure holy mother Ganga, the virtuous work would certainly be fruitful. Lord Shiva will definitely fulfill the wishes of the devotees of Shiva. He praised this campaign of convener Shikhar Paliwal. Pradeep Jha, president of Ganga Sabha also appreciated this campaign to provide Ganga water. Shikhar Paliwal, the convener of Being Bhagirath, said that the volunteers of Being Bhagirath have worked hard day and night to collect two and a half thousand Gangajal from Harki Paidi. He said that the devotees of Shiva would not be allowed to become disheartened. Ganga water will be delivered to Shiva devotees at home. Appealing to all Shiv devotees to cooperate in covid control, he said that experts are expressing the possibility of a third wave of corona. In view of this, the state government decided to postpone the Kanwar Yatra. In such a situation, following the guide line of the government, worship Lord Shiva only by staying in your homes and following the rules on Shivritratra, do Jalabhishek in your holy pagodas. He said that the corona epidemic can be defeated only with the cooperation of all. Shikhar Paliwal thanked the municipal administration for providing a can to bring Gangajal to the devotees of Shiva. Volunteers like Shivam Arora, Santosh Kumar Sahu, Vinod Kumar, Gulshan Arora, Gulshan Kumar, Seema Chauhan, Gaurav Kapoor, Aditya Bharti etc. helped in filling the Ganges water.
